Mgr. Ing. Josef David
Experience, Legal Specialization: Josef David is a Senior Lawyer at BBH concentrating his practice in commercial, financial and capital markets law. He focuses, above all, on debt financing, collective investment schemes, takeover bids, M&A transactions and corporate governance issues. A standard part of his practice is also the negotiating of ISDA documentation for clients based in the Czech Republic and Russia.
Josef’s experience includes, among others, advising on: the realization of the share buy-back program of ČEZ, a.s.; the launch of the voluntary takeover bid by ECM Group N.V. addressed to the shareholders of ECM REAL ESTATE INVESTMENTS A.G., the realization of the voluntary takeover bid on the securities issued by Zentiva N.V. launched by Anthiarose Limited; and the establishment and licensing of UTIS uzavřený investiční fond, a.s. - the first self-managed investment fund for qualified investors in the Czech Republic. Josef has been further involved in number of debt financing transactions, including bilateral and syndicated loans and acquisition finance.
Josef David joined BBH in 2006. Prior to joining the firm he worked for one of the largest Czech law firms and has also acquired experience in several managerial positions in IT related business companies.
