Mgr. Michaela Šurmanová
Experience and Legal Specialization: Michaela is specialised in the Law of Public Procurement, ICT Law, Competition Law and Contract Law as well as working in the area of Intellectual Property Law and having gained experience in Labour Law.
Ms. Šurmanová is part of a team that provides comprehensive legal services for the Ministry of the Interior related to the purchase of project data and voice services for the public sector in the Czech Republic (project KIVS), primarily including the preparation of tenders and contractual documentation. In the area of public procurement, Michaela has also participated in the provision of legal counsel to contractors within a number of international tenders. During her work experience she has advised in the area of information technology supply to clients in the insurance and industrial areas. This work consisted namely of the preparation of contractual documentation, application of claims pursuant to product defects and incorrect implementation and the related damages and also legal analysis in the area of ICT Law.
During her studies at the Law Faculty of Masaryk University in Brno, Michaela also studied at Aarhus University in Denmark where she focused mainly on EC Competition Law and International Commercial Law. Michaela joined BBH in 2006 and throughout her experience here she also co-published articles in professional periodicals in the areas of Commercial Law and Intellectual Property Law.
