Douglas Young, L.L.B (Hons) Dip. LP

Experience, Legal Specialization: Douglas specialises in banking & finance, commercial law and mergers & acquisitions. He also specialises in advising our international clients on English law and on EU law.

Douglas has advised on a range of banking & finance and M&A transactions in the United Kingdom and in the Central and Eastern European region. Notable transactions on which Douglas has acted include the sale of a major fishing business to new investors, the procurement of a new generation of hardware and software for a major banking group, the financing of one of the UK’s largest independently owned insurance brokers and the re-financing of a major British construction company.

Douglas was educated at the Universities of Glasgow and Copenhagen where he majored in Commercial law, European Competition Law, International Taxation and Media Law. Prior to joining BBH, Douglas worked for one of the UK’s leading law firms and he has also previously worked as in-house legal advisor to one of the UK’s leading banks.
