Mgr. Ing. Zdeněk Husták
Experience, Legal Specializtaion: Zdeněk Husták is a of Counsel at BBH. Mr.Husták focuses on financial markets, banking, insurance, regulatory issues and corporate governance and related consultancy. He has extensive experience in the area of financial markets oversight. During the period of 2003 to 2006, Mr. Husták was a member of the Presidium of the Czech Securities Commission (CzSEC) responsible for the supervision and regulation of investment services, regulated markets and clearing houses and the settlement system. He was named adviser to the Ministryof Finance of the Czech Republic where he led the transposition of MiFID (Markets in the Financial Instruments Directive) rules and requirements. During The Czech Presidency of the EU Council, Zdeněk led a working group of the EU Council implementing the regulation of rating agencies and participated inthe Alternative Investment Funds Managers Directive (AIFMD) negotiations.
ZdeněkHusták is the Chairman of the Ethical Committee of the Czech Capital Market Association and a member of the Board of the Institute for Financial Markets at Masaryk University, Brno. Zdeněk often publishes in the field of capital and finance markets and frequently lectures at domestic and foreign conferences and seminars organized by various institutions such as OECD, European Lawyer, Lex Mundi IIR, etc. Zdeněk lectures on financial and capital markets law at the University of Economics in Prague (VŠE).
