Mgr. Jiří Štěrba
Experience, Legal Specialization: Mr. Jiří Štěrba is General Director of BBH Moscow. He specializes in real estate, mergers and acquisitions and project finance. In his professional legal endeavours, he has participated in a number of significant projects implemented both in the Czech Republic and internationally. In his real estate practice Jiří Štěrba specializes in real estate transactions and development projects. He also consistently represents the significant clients in connection with the entering into agreements on the lease of non-residential premises. In his mergers and acquisition practice, Jiří Štěrba has advised clients in several significant acquisition transactions and projects relating to the establishment of joint venture companies, focused on investment in real estate, banking, insurance or the energy sector. He has further materially participated in the preparation of an appreciable volume of share purchase agreements, shareholders agreements and other related documentation. In the area of project finance, structuring and negotiating of credit and collateral documentation, including that for syndicated facilities and subordinated loans, which constitutes a significant part of his work.
Jiří Štěrba advised PPF in relation to the acquisition of its new headquarters, the administrative building E-Gate in Prague, and he represented New Star Asset Management in relation to the acquisition of the production plants in the Czech Republic. At the same time, he provided counsel in connection with the external syndicated financing and refinancing of these acquisitions. In the area of project finance, Jiří Štěrba further advised a syndicate of investment banks in relation to the financing of the construction of one of the largest sports facilities in the Czech Republic.
