Mgr. Miloslav Strnad
Experience, Legal Specialization: Miloslav Strnad is a Senior Lawyer at BBH and focuses on the area of commercial and civil disputes in court and arbitrational proceedings. He has obtained valuable experience representing clients during his practice. Mr. Strnad also deals with contractual law in commercial and civil legal relationships. In addition to commercial and civil law, he is specialized in energy, insurance, real estate and labor law.
Mr. Strnad has co-operated with his colleagues in representing an important Czech energy industry entrepreneur in an international arbitration held under the UNCITRAL rules with an overall valuation amounting up to EUR 800 million. During his practice, Mr. Strnad has represented a range of insurance companies including one of the largest domestic insurance companies in a number of disputes, a number of which exceeded CZK 100 million. Mr. Strnad has also provided his legal services in disputes of other important energy concerns dealing with electricity and gas production and supply in court and Energy regulatory office proceedings. In his practice, Mr. Strnad was involved in the sale of parts of an important industrial company to foreign investors. Within the BBH legal team, Mr. Strnad is taking part in providing legal services in respect of the founding an energy-focused joint-venture among important investment companies.
Miloslav Strnad has been co-operating with BBH since 2005 when he finished his studies at the Faculty of Law, University of West Bohemia in Pilsen.
