JUDr. Petr Mlejnek
Experience, Legal Specialization: Petr Mlejnek is a Partner of BBH specializing in banking, finance and commercial law (including, but not limited to, mergers and acquisitions), structured financing (including various types of debt financing) and capital markets.
Mr. Mlejnek represented significant Czech and foreign companies in structuring and negotiating syndicated and other international financial transactions. He has led teams of lawyers in the preparation and contracting of a number of significant Czech, foreign and cross-border acquisition projects and securitizations for the legal transformation of a number of significant Czech companies, both in the form of mergers and main shareholder asset takeovers.
Petr Mlejnek also heads projects in the banking and finance fields in structuring, negotiating and drafting standard loan and collateral documentation (both bilateral and syndicated) for financial, especially credit and equity derivative and repo-operation transactions based on the international norms of the ISDA and ISMA Associations. Together with his colleague Tomáš Otruba, Petr acted as advisor in the structuring of the securitization transaction methods and the preparation of the relevant documentation for the first-ever rated and completed securitization not only in the Czech Republic, but in the whole of Central and Eastern Europe. Petr Mlejnek lectures on selected aspects of commercial and financial law at the Law Faculty of Charles University in Prague.
