JUDr.,Ing. Petr Přecechtěl
Experience, Legal Specialization: Petr Přecechtěl is a Senior Lawyer at BBH specializing in banking, finance, securities and capital markets. He focuses, above all, on bonds and equity issues, structured financing, syndicated and bilateral debt financing and derivatives. In addition, Petr has also advised on a number of significant transactions including M&A and Real Estate. Mr. Přecechtěl has acted as counsel to major Czech and Slovak companies on a number of syndicated loans, all valued at over USD 100 million.
Petr Přecechtěl advised on two bond issuances on the Czech capital market, listing them on the Prague Stock Exchange; each issue was valued at CZK 3 billion. Petr was further involved in the preparation of the relevant contractual documentation for issues of other securities (including derivative-related notes), the listing and delisting of securities and he also took part in structuring the first share buy-back transaction, which was effected in the Czech Republic in full compliance with European law, valued at CZK 67,3 billion. Recently, Mr. Přecechtěl worked on the merger of two significant heavy industry manufacturing companies and advised on the creation of several off-shore joint venture structures in the real estate and private equity area. In addition, Petr worked on a range of other significant transactions, including the sale and lease back of a real estate portfolio worth over CZK 4 billion. Petr was responsible for the preparation of the contractual documentations for the largest ever Czech foreign investment, which is being realized by ČEZ a.s., the Czech energy giant, in the territory of Gacko, Bosnia & Herzegovina.
Petr Přecechtěl joined BBH in 2003. Prior to joining the firm he worked for the Prague branch of PriceWaterhouseCoopers, where he acquired extensive experience in tax law. Petr was admitted to the Czech Bar in 2006 and he became a Senior Lawyer at BBH in 2007. Mr. Petr Přecechtěl lectures at the Faculty of Law, Charles University and is the author of a number of articles relating to the above areas of law.
